चैनल को सब्सक्राइब कीजिये हर छोटी मोटी जानकारी पाने के लिए रामेश्वरम मंदिर तमिलनाडु राज्य के रामनाथपुरम जिले में स्थित है। यह मंदिर हिंदूओं का एक पवित्र मंदिर है और इसे चार धामों में से एक माना जाता है। रामेश्वरम मंदिर को रामनाथ स्वामी मंदिर (Ramanathaswamy Temple) के नाम से भी जाना जाता है। इस मंदिर में स्थापित शिवलिंग बारह द्वादश ज्योतिर्लिंगों में से एक माना जाता है। जिस तरह से उत्तर भारत में काशी का महत्व है, ठीक उसी तरह दक्षिण भारत में रामेश्वरम का भी महत्व है। रामेश्वरम हिंद महासागर और बंगाल की खाड़ी से चारों ओर से घिरा है एवं शंख के आकार का द्वीप है। सदियों पहले यह द्वीप भारत की मुख्य भूमि से जुड़ा हुआ था लेकिन धीरे धीरे सागर की तेज लहरों से कटकर यह अलग हो गया, जिससे यह टापू चारों तरफ से पानी से घिर गया। बाद में एक जर्मन इंजीनियर ने रामेश्वरम को जोड़ने के लिए एक पुल का निर्माण किया था। What is special about Rameshwaram temple?
