In the beginnig our intention was the Tour du Grand Combin, nevertheless with our shore holidays, we had to take the wather as it came along. On Thursday the temperatur dropped below 0 °C and weather changed to winter condition.. as we haven't had enough time to wait for the weather to pass we had to cancle the trail and end the trip in Orsière.. nevertheless it was another epic trip for sure.. We started in Mauvoisin, pass the lake on the left side torwards the SAC Hut "Cabane de Chanrion" to meet a friend, then we went to the Fenêtre de Durand, we mostly followed the tour du grand combins hiking trail to Saint Rémy-en-Bosses, the Col du Champillon and its refuge was another great experience.. We hiked to the Col du Grand St. Bernard, but decided to pass the Fenêtre de Ferret, pass the Lakes de Fenêtres and added another two beautiful passes until we reached the Combe de l'A, headed down to Liddes and along the Valley to Orsières.
