PCHC - ASSEN - 2024 - Race 1 Winner: Team Albert Motorsport After qualifying in P1, we finished the 1st race in the PCHC in Assen 2024, also in P1, with a best time of 1:39. With 3 laps to go, we were threatened with a race cancellation. Due to a total failure of the hydraulic steering, caused by a defective battery, it was only possible to move the steering and use the brakes without ABS with all our strength. Very difficult and exhausting not to go off the track in every corner. With a time loss of 6 seconds, it was only thanks to the big lead we had previously achieved that we were able to win the race with a lead of just 0.6 seconds over the second-placed driver. That was actually the end of the race day for us. After all, who has a second steering pump for a Porsche 991 GT3 R? The neighboring team (Kurt Ecke) had the 911 GT3 R replacement vehicle of the Chilean Pablo Briones. In an astonishing act of sporting fairness, our dear sports friend Pablo Briones allowed us to remove the same pump so that we could also take part in the second race. This gesture, this astonishingly emphatic behavior was rewarded with a "Cup of Fairness" from the PCHC organization! Because where else can you find such human behavior among direct competitors? In the entire PCHC, and that is exactly why we are part of the PCHC with our team! Rennen in der PCHC in Assen 2024, mit einer Bestzeit von 1:39 ebenfalls auf P1. 3 Runden vor Schluss drohte uns ein Rennabbruch. Durch einen Totalausfall der hydraulischen Lenkung, ausgehend von einer defekten Batterie, war nur unter Einsatz aller Kraft die Lenkung zu bewegen und die Bremse ohne ABS zu nutzen. Sehr schwierig und kraftraubend um nicht in jeder Kurve von der Strecke zu geraten. Mit einem Zeitverlust von 6 Sekunden war nur durch den großen Vorsprung, den wir vorher herausgefahren hatten, das Rennen mit nur 0.6 Sekunden Vorsprung vor dem Zweitplatzierten zu gewinnen. Damit war der Renntag eigentlich für uns zu Ende. Denn wer hat schon eine 2. Lenkungspumpe für einen Porsche 991 GT3 R? Im Nachbarteam (Kurt Ecke) stand das 911 GT3 R Ersatzfahrzeug des Chilenen Pablo Briones. In einem erstaunlichen Akt sportlicher Fairness, erlaubte uns der liebe Sportfreund Pablo Briones den Ausbau der gleichen Pumpe, so dass wir das 2. Rennen auch noch mitfahren konnten. Diese Geste, dieses erstaunlich emphatische Verhalten wurde mit einem "Pokal der Fairness" von der PCHC Organisation belohnt! Denn wo gibt es noch so ein menschliches Verhalten unter direkten Konkurrenten? In der gesamten PCHC, und genau deshalb sind wir mit unserem Team bei der PCHC dabei!
