Daily Water Intake for Kidney Patients | Kidney Failure Treatment| Dr Puru Dhawan Dr. Puru Dhawan will describe how much water a renal failure patient may drink in this video, so watch it all the way through. Water helps the kidneys in the formation of urine. Waste materials such as creatine and urea are released out of the body during urine production. That is why our kidneys require adequate water to detoxify the body. Fluid accumulation is a prevalent complication in renal failure patients. This fluid retention occurs when the kidneys are unable to discharge extra fluid from the body, resulting in a variety of difficulties in the life of a kidney failure patient. As a result, the proper amount of water is required. When a patient drinks less fluid, less urine forms, and as urine generation decreases, creatinine and urea levels rise. However, fluid retention occurs when a patient consumes more water than is required. How much water should renal failure patients drink? According to some doctors, 1 L of water is plenty. Some physicians recommend one and a half litres of water per day, however the body's fluid requirements differ depending on a variety of circumstances. For example, if you live in a cold region, there is no loss of fluid via sweating, therefore less fluid intake is acceptable; yet, if you live in a hot climate, your body's fluid requirements rise since you also lose fluid through perspiration. How Much Water Can a Kidney Failure Patient Drink? The amount of fluids required is determined by your medical condition. To begin, if you have water retention in your legs, your body is overflowing with fluid. In that scenario, the fluid intake should be approximately 800 ML per day; you can drink less liquid, but you must pee more than that. Only the volume of fluid will decrease, but if you do not have any Retention in your legs, you must consume water with caution. You can consume 100 ML of water at the same time and repeat anytime you feel push. As a result, there will be no fluid accumulation within the body, and the body will produce adequate urine to eliminate waste material such as creatinine and urea properly. #water_intake_for_kidney_patients #kidney_disease_treatment
