New Ukulele Tutorials every Wednesday and Saturday Today we are going to look at some Ukulele licks but they are designed for beginners. If you have never seen a scale you can still do follow this lesson but it will be maximized by doing a couple of things. One of the troubles that people run into when trying to use scales to make them sound like music is just that, making them sound like music and not a scale. There are a couple of reasons for this. Not varying the rhythm, playing the notes in the order of the scale, not repeating notes, not resolving the licks and sticking to just one shape, this licks are going to do all of that and more, but still be easy enough for anyone learning at any level to give it a try.
