EDF 6 DLC 2-30 Weapons Farming the mostly static Nasties Air Raider Inferno ( Earth Defense Force 6)

This is an unusual and cool idea. A mission where most enemies won't move. But don't think they're just sitting ducks, it's a bunch of nasty ones and they're in groups which you'll aggro if you hit any of them. In reality, not all enemies are static. There are 3 moving Elder Krulls and 4 red type 3 Drones. Another unusual aspect is that the map is tiny compared to usual EDF missions. The only "safe" place is behind a mountain to the left, which is occupied by an Elder Krull on top, and a red Drone, and frogs on the side. Once these are gone it's a good place to stay. The weapons I used were the level 90 and 70 Bulge Lasers Z and F, the 81 Vulcan Cannon M2, the 56 Electromagnetic Prison and 85 Depth Crawler IV Custom. No DLC weapons were used. Bulges are excellent here. They work very well on the red drones and on all enemies. The ones that use shields to try to protect them, just switch to Vulcan and shoot them with it. Since Vulcan is a skewed attack and Bulge it's not the enemies won't be able to protect from both. There will be times when you won't have a Bulge even with 2 due to their long rebuild, use Vulcan on enemies in those occasions. And on enemies alone or remaining from a flock. Electromagnetic Prison is the best shield here, due to its huge size and fast reload. However, the shields will be fried if you aggro too many enemies at once. Depth Crawler works very well here for one main reason. It's the only vehicle that can go into water without being destroyed and that is useful since a few crates will be there. It's also good to climb the mountains from the start area. Feeble armor though. Mission flow is easy but you need to be careful to follow a plan. Obviously, the idea is to be protected by shields all the time. Start with the 3 frogs to the left up on the hill. Be careful because the leftmost one of these needs to be hit to the right as much as possible to avoid aggroing a Krull to its left. This can always happen anyway and it's impossible to be sure that it won't. The next sole ones are 2 cosmos in front. Waste these too. Next, the 4 cosmos that are on the right up on the cliff. I was stupid and used a position on the other side, where the frogs were. This wasn't a good idea, because there were Krulls in the back and I could have hit one by accident. It's better to handle these from the beach from the left side, near where I handled the other 2 cosmos or further front. As long as you have little to no chances of targeting the wrong enemies it's good. Capture all Fencers, they will likely not meet with you, but they'll last longer than being still From this point, all enemy groups will be aggroed at once. For Air Raider the best one to go next is the left one, as this will give him a new area to stay. On each group, the most dangerous enemies to your shields will be the elder Krulls, the multiple launcher Frogs and the purple electric shots Kruhls. So try to focus on these. I almost made a mess by not making sure that the multiple launcher Frog was really dead with Bulge, and he could have trashed my shields. Aim Bulges on different positions of Kruhls, it will avoid their shields if they're up many times. If necessary switch to Vulcan and trash them. It will be nasty many times to see what's happening because shields reflect electric weapons and Kruhls plasma bombs. Just be cool and try to handle what's possible, You won't be for much time without Bulge and Vulcan is quickly available. Be careful not to hit moving enemies near other packs. This is clearly a no-no. If necessary ignore them. Aggro distances are big. Next deal with the back left group. This is the only of the 3 main packs that you can attack without aggroing the Elder Kruhl. Same drill, easier this time. Deal with the solo Elder Kruhl. Second from last, the bigger group. You won't aggro the Elder Kruhl and red Drone while killing the 8 lower positioned Kruhls. Start with these, and the plasma bomb ones first because they have no shields. I was hasty and dumb by going for the others without waiting for Bulges to have recharged, or at least one of them. Once you go for the highly positioned Kruhls or the cosmos, you'll agro the elder Kruhl and red Drone. It's not difficult to handle all these either. When necessary ignore the red Drone, it's likely he'll proceed to annoy the NPCs. Use Vulcan on it to avoid crushing your NPCs with Bulge. All that remains is a multiple plasma frog and a red Drone which is peanuts compared to the rest of the mission. Not intentional, but a no-damage run. Even that is possible without a fuss. Air Raider is king here thanks to its shields. Interesting and original idea. It will not look like that at first but it's a really cool mission.
