Living in Northwest Wisconsin

Looking for a great place to live in Wisconsin? Look no further than Northwest Wisconsin! Hi, I'm Ben Wheeler, a local Realtor serving the area, and in this video, I'll be sharing with you five reasons why Northwest Wisconsin is an amazing place to call home. The people and community. Our area is made up of several small cities, towns, and villages, each with its own unique sense of community. From Balsam Lake to Milltown, Luck to Frederic, Siren to Webster, Amery to St. Croix Falls, and Osceola, there are many events and festivals happening all year round, making it a great place to meet new people and build lasting relationships. Neighbors are always willing to help one another, and small town values are cherished. Parks and Lakes. Northwest Wisconsin is home to many lakes, and Polk County alone has 437 lakes totaling over 22,600 acres and 200 miles of rivers and streams, including 98 miles of trout streams. You're never far from a park, from county parks to beautiful village trails, making it easy to enjoy the great outdoors. Year-round recreation. Northwest Wisconsin offers something for everyone, with summer activities like cookouts and boating, and winter activities like skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing. Trollhaugen is a great place for skiing and snowboarding, and there are many trails to explore throughout the area. Proximity to the Twin Cities area. Just because we live in a rural area doesn't mean we don't like to enjoy big city events! Our small towns are just about an hour or less from all the big-time events that come through the Twin Cities area, allowing us to have the best of both worlds. Local businesses. Our local businesses make the area very enjoyable. We have many locally owned restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, and local farmers who sell their products directly to you! Nothing beats farm-fresh food, and of course, the local dairy makes life just a little better with its squeaky cheese curds – after all, we are in Wisconsin. In conclusion, Northwest Wisconsin is an excellent place to live, with its strong sense of community, natural beauty, year-round recreation, proximity to the Twin Cities, and support for local businesses.
