Right before birth, most babies are in a cephalic position (head-first) inside the uterus. Sometimes, the baby is in a bottom-first (or feet-first) position. This is called a breech baby. Babies can be breech during pregnancy but most of them will turn on their own to be cephalic by the time of birth. What about that percentage of babies that remain in the breech position no matter what?
