Can Christians wear Jewels? I am here to preach the principles of Elim Glorious Revival Church. Someone asked me why the Pentecostal people never wear jewels. What is the principle of Elim Church:? Before answering to this question, I want to highlight the scriptures over here. Bible has some rules and advises which is common to one and all in the different parts of the world. No one can overcome the rules depending upon their culture and living. But advises differ from one person to another person depending upon the situation. You should not mix up the rules and the advises. For example, suppose if I want to have a big, long mustache, daily I have to apply some oil on my mustache and stand before the mirror. Then the Lord will tell me that I should not have a mustach because by that time, I could read many Bible verses and I can also pray for a long time. So definitely God will speak to me. Then I will tell, O Lord, I love my mustache very much. Hence please dont tell anything about my mustache. Hearing this, the Lord will keep quiet. But on the next day, above my lips and beneath the mustache there were so many boils. If I go to the Doctor, he will ask me to remove my mustache immediately. After seeing this, I will feel, the Lord never likes me to have a big, long mustache. That is the advise only for me and not for everyone. Having experienced this, the next day, when I preach in the church, that none of the male members should have mustache, it is not fair. If God wanted us to do that, He would have given us a commandment. But He has not given so. Some people will have pride upon something. So His intention is to just cut down the pride upon them. In the same way, whether to wear jewels or not is God’s advise. Those who like the jewels and buy more of them and have it with them. Also they wear it like cine stars and have pride over it. Then God will ask them to remove the jewels. Dear beloved in Christ, God created the Gold. He has created it for 2 purposes. 1) Gold represents purity. 2) Gold represents faith. Before God created Eve, he made Gold to grow in Eden. There was a river Pishon in Eden. Wherever it runs, there is gold. God only created it and before he could create a woman, he created Gold knowing that she needs it. Not only that the Lord God also likes Gold very much. That is why He said all the holy furnishings and articles of the tabernacle should be of Gold. Even when Solomon built the church, he built it with Gold. You can say all these comes only in the Old Testament. In the New Testament also, when the prodicle son came back, his father ran before him and honoured him with a gold ring. You may say that it may be of plastic. But this is only for debating. Surely a lovable father would have given a golden ring. In the Old Testament, Abraham brought gold jewelleries for his daughter in law. Dear Beloved if you do everything positively, the God will not say anything. The Lord who gave Gold mines under the earth, will not say anything for 4 gms of chain on your neck. No. God loves in giving to you. David had more gold. The Bible Scholars had 4 tons of Gold for the church. How joyful to hear. So whenever you do something, see whether God will take it for granted. To differentiate between the married and the unmarried women, there is no wrong in putting a Gold chain. More decoration is harmful. You can eat for your hunger. But you should not over eat.
