"I feel invisible". This is one of the most common things that I hear when I talk to the women in our community. The funny thing is that not everyone feels the same about age-related invisibility. As elder women, I suspect most of us have experienced feeling invisible. Please share a time when you felt invisible. How did you handle it when others tried to discount your presence or voice? Are there times when you have chosen to move among people without being seen? For me, invisibility is a choice. We can enjoy the anonymity of invisibility or turn on our vibrant, dynamic and engaged selves. It is up to us if we want to challenge the aging stereotypes or make the choice of navigating life without any desire to be actively engaged anymore in the world. Do you sometimes feel invisible?
