Flash Flood is an powerful and engaging piece that will energize you students and audience alike. Inspired by the floods brought upon by Hurricane Irene, Flash Flood pays homage to the inate human ability to rise from disaster and persevere with strength and pride. After the devestation from the flood families, friends and entire communities worked together to rebuild. Those affected by the floods faced the tragedy with heroism and those who helped in the rebuilding effort showed an immeasurable amount of compassion. Flash Flood was commissioned by the Lehman Intermediate School 7th and 8th Grade Band; East Stroudsburg Area School District, Matthew Flicker, director.
