The indie group's sound has been described as “Astro-Folk”. It is thoughtful storytelling in real time, continually uncovering the next chapter in a childlike, melancholic and explorative way. The loud drums and danceable bass lines are paired with modern synth tones, effects pedals and unconventional vocal editing. The newest single titled The River is a Folk Song was produced by John Mullane of In Flight Safety and session player Dale Murray included pedal steel guitar on the track. Lead singer, songwriter and band leader Jack Murtha combines his love and experience within both music and marketing into this project to ensure the Postfun brand is equally as artistic as the music itself. Paired with Halifax’s busiest professional musicians and their creativity, the live performance keeps people engaged and on the move. About Emerge HFX: Emerge HFX is an annual arts festival in Halifax, Nova Scotia, run by Youth Art Connection with the goal of celebrating the East Coast’s most exciting young talents. This year's Emerge HFX festival is being presented online as a series of Artist showcases.
