green algae problem in saltwater tank. green algae on glass and sand has gotten worse in the 125 gallon saltwater aquarium since i stopped carbon dosing sugar to lower nitrates. I have not dosed sugar in the tank in 2 weeks, hoping the bio pellet reactor would kick in, feeding the anaerobic bacteria. i have ordered microbacter7 to start the process of biological balance in the tank to remove and lower nitrates and phosphates. reefers have said microbacter7 also kick starts the anaerobic bacteria population. videos to document this process coming soon.
