Teachers Day Celebration l Nilgiri College

Again Nilgiri College makes difference on Teachers Day celebration. It was a novel and unique experience for the campus as all the key portfolios and teaching assignments were handed over to students on this auspicious day. Students took over the complete control and offices of secretary, principal, academic dean, academic coordinator, administrator, heads of various departments and also the chairs of assistant professors. "Nilgiri college introduced this innovative practice to make the students realize the efforts and sacrifice behind running the institution and handling the classes", remarked Mr. Rashid Gazali, secretary of Nilgiri College. The student-secretary of the day sanctioned the proposal to set up smart class rooms and renovate library in front of the audience who include the representatives from management, academic authorities,PTA, well wishers and students. The students also honoured and greeted the teachers with gifts in the function.
