New England Aster: Plant in any good draining soil, full sun to partial sun , 3-6 ft tall , these are purple in color but there are pink, great fall color they begin to bloom in August through October, hardy zones 3-7, . These plants also tread for pollinators in the fall and DEER RESISTANT. I find that giving these plants a trim by the first of July help with controlling their flopping and preventing a lot of staking to give a much better clean tidy look in the garden. Trim back by 1/3 to 1/2 the blooms may be smaller but there will by many and what a pop of color for fall interest. Easy care great plant!!
