Waterfall Hike in Search of September Fungi! | UK Foraging

Come join me for a hike and a forage in the Peak District National Park in search for mushrooms and a wild swimming spot! Starting at grindleford, I make my way to Padley Gorge along the picturesque waterfalls, through the valley, across the moorlands and into the woodlands at Longshaw Estate to find some fungi! We find everything from boletes to amanitas, slime mould, and even winter chanterelles… but sadly nowhere deep enough for more than a paddle! This isn’t an edible mushroom video. Please remember to never eat any wild food, be it plant, fruit or fungi, unless you are 100% certain of its identity and always cross check your resources. Always do research before taking herbs internally, especially if you are pregnant, have severe allergies or a weakened immune system. Finally, remember to take only what you need from places of abundance, and always leave plenty for the wildlife too.
