Find the Area and Perimeter of Right Triangles

In this video, I'll show you how to find the perimeter and area of triangles. A triangle has three sides and three corners. To find the perimeter of a triangle, all you have to do is add the three sides together. So, the perimeter is equal to the sum of the base, height, and hypothenuse. The area is a bit more tricky. If you replicate the triangle, you will get a shape like a rectangle. Remember in the last video, the area of a rectangle is the base times the height. Because the triangle's area is half of the rectangle's, we know that the area of the triangle is the 0.5 times the base times the height. By the end of the video, I hope that you learned how to easily find the area and the perimeter of triangles. This is one of my favorite exercises in math, because it is so easy. In the next video, instead of the triangle, I'm going to show you how to find the perimeter and area of circles, and the method is pretty similar.
