In this video, Rainy Blomgren, a Lower Elementary Guide at Butler Montessori, explains the "Going Out" program, a key part of Montessori education. This exercise helps children navigate the adult world by planning and executing trips, such as visiting a museum. From writing scripts and practicing making phone calls, to planning the trip and getting a chaperone to go with them, students learn vital skills like communication and organization. Over time, this activity prepares children for greater independence as they grow through the program.
