In this video, we will discuss the design of DC-DC buck converter. This is part 1 of the complete DC-DC buck converter design with controller. The design phase for the controller will be done in part 2. In part 1, the buck converter will be in open-loop and in works in continuous conduction mode (CCM). Given the specifications for the output voltage, output current, and output ripple voltage, we will calculate required the component values.
