The Cardean is one of my favourite Scottish steam locomotives. This was a large 4-6-0 design, of which five were built in 1906. Sadly one of them was scrapped after being involved in the Quintinshill disaster of 1915, while the remaining four were withdrawn between 1928 and 1930. No 903 class locomotives have survived into preservation. Today we'll be driving 903 class No. 907; the Cardean that was involved in the Quintinshill disaster. The route is a UKTrainSim route called Keswick to Penrith, and it's a recreation of a railway line in England, more specifically the county of Cumbria.
