Pearl Millet Tortilla | Bajre Ki Roti | Good for Diabetic People

Bajra also called as Pearl Millet and even available in USA. Millets are getting very popular now a days. As Bajra is rich in fiber, it helps in weight loss, this Roti is best suitable for Diabetic people. Authentically Bajra Roti is made by only Bajra flour no other flour added. As mentioned in Ayurveda we should not mix flours, as each flour has their own property/nutrition and mixing together will not give you the full benefits. By following this recipe you can make Jowar, Makki ki Roti as well very easily just by replacing the flour with your choice. I have tried multiple ways of making Bajre ki Roti but every time I ended up with mess. Then my Mom taught me this trick which makes rolling Roti very easy with no mess, no breaking chapati, also it feels as you are making it by hand like old people used to make it. Thanks to my Mom :) Serving: 4 Chapati Ingredients: 1 Cup Bajra Flour Water 1/4 tsp Salt Clarified Butter(Ghee)/Butter Method: 1.Take Bajra flour in a big bowl, add water little by little, knead the dough with your hand and make a soft dough. I used little more than 1/2 a cup of water but it can be vary from flour to flour. 2. Divide the dough into equal sized balls. 3. Take one wet cloth, place one ball and press with your finger and palm gently to roll the Roti. Use little water in your hand while pressing the roti, your hand will not stick with roti this way. With the help of wet cloth, roti will come out very easily to cook without breaking. 4. Heat up a tawa on a low flame, cook for about 2-3 min. Make sure tawa should not be too hot else you will get the bubbles in your roti. 5. Flip the roti and cook for another 3-4 mins on a medium flame. 6. Now put the roti on the open flame as we do for phulkas on a medium flame. It won’t puff up too much. 7. Apply Clarified butter (Ghee)/Butter before serving. Enjoy this hot healthy Roti with Saag, Palak Paneer or even with Dal Tadka. You will love it. #milletroti #milletrecipes #milletrecipes #jowarkiroti #jowarrecipes #diabetichealth #diabetic #bajrekiroti #tortillarecipe #tortilla
