X8 Yamaha piano ARIUS --- Just a year ago, on New Year's Day, my family and I moved to a new town in the west suburbs of Tokyo. It's close to where I was born and raised, but when I looked closely while walking with my family on the weekends, I could feel a strange but beautiful feeling in the scenery that I had taken for granted. It's a mash-up of a new town, an old town, and a town that is still under construction and is just a framework and foundation. The adjacent old housing complexes and hills are used to develop urban parks, and areas where fields and cattle are raised, all folded up like a gradient in a small area. It's like a road movie, or a strange soundtrack. I cut them out with my camera, gave them my own color and texture, and picked up the sounds I heard on the piano. It's a short piece with a busy transition between minor and major harmonies. It rained a lot in June and July, so I also added the sound of rain that I could hear from the room in the distance. As I watched the finished snapshot movie, I wondered how my daughters would look back on their new hometown.
