Chapter IX of the SEBI (ICDR) Regulations, 2018 allows smaller enterprises to access the capital markets through the SME platform which provides that an issuer shall be eligible to make an SME initial public offer (IPO) if its post-issue paid-up capital is less than or equal to Rs. 10 crore. However, an issuer whose post-issue face value capital exceeds Rs. 10 crore but is up to Rs. 25 crore can also issue specified securities on SME Board.
