My buddy Jimmy, from YT's Future Ruins, suggested I check out Valdrin's third full length album, Throne of the Lunar Soul, which came out on Blood Harvest Records in November of 2023. As fate would have it, I managed to see them open for Wayfarer back in May first instead of checking the album out before catching that s. To put it mildly, I was really quite blown away by how great they were and their set of influences from Emperor, Dissection, Caladan Brood, Windir, and bits of Watain, and Dimmu sprinkled in for good measure, got me pretty stoked once I finally listened to the CD I had bought at the show.
