This is not the usual clock movement found in longcase (Grandfather) clocks, powered by weights, but is a mantle clock movement installed into a longcase clock case. After removing the movement from the case and letting down the mainsprings I start taking the movement apart. I remove the Clicks and test for any remaining tension in the mainsprings.
