Chemical Reaction Turned This BLACK! Woodworking Bowl with No Lathe

See step by step how to ebonize wood using common household items. A little bit of home science will cause a chemical reaction that makes this wood BLACK! I made a really cool wooden bowl without using a lathe or CNC. I wanted the bowl to be black, but I thought it would be fun to do this without using stains or dyes or burning it to a crisp. The solution? To ebonize the wood using iron acetate. This video shows how I made the iron acetate and why it works so well. Plus, we do some tests to see how it looks if we ebonize white oak, red oak, maple, walnut, bubinga, and cherry. You can guess which woods looks best when ebonizing them. Another awesome aspect of this project is that I got to use my awesome circle cutting jig. I always like using it.
