This frustrated order radio is now on Ebay. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/116098173695 Well known for being a 'bleedover box' by city users, these sets work well in rural areas like here in Lincolnshire whereI am situated, 1/2 mile from the nearest neighbour. Whilst these are actually a 3.5 (not 4W) radio, it makes no difference in practice & is more than compensated for by excellent transmit speech processing & the resultant punchy audio. The receive on these is more sensitive than many sets...this example is 0.32uV for 12dB Sinad & the AM operated squelch is gentle on the ears. The Great (Taiwan) GT858 chassis employed in these sets is one of the most reliable around...even 40+ years later from ther 1981 manufacturing date. This 'on the air' test didn't disappoint & the set worked well throughout the test despite illegal SSB activity in the background. Our continued thanks to Thunderpole for kindly supplying the T3000 radio used in the test vehicle at no cost to us.
