Hollywood Star Michael Blackson Angrily Threatens to Sue Ghana after losing $1Million Investment

Hollywood Star Michael Blackson To Sues Ghana Over $1 Million Investment - Michael Blackson – the Ghanaian-born, American comedian loved for his hilarious takes on life – is making headlines for something far more serious. His heartfelt investment in Ghana, meant to support free education for the underprivileged, has hit a major roadblock. In a series of candid social media posts, Blackson expressed frustration over how the Ghanaian government’s debt restructuring has cost him big. But what does this mean for Ghana’s investment landscape and for African diaspora investors? Michael Blackson’s journey to give back to his homeland started with a noble cause. Three years ago, he founded the Michael Blackson Academy in Agona Nsaba, providing free education to children from kindergarten to Basic 3, along with free uniforms. It was a passion project that Blackson deeply believed in, using his own money to fund it. To keep the school running, Blackson says he invested $1 million in Ghana’s Eurobonds, which promised a return of 10%. But following Ghana’s recent debt restructuring, Blackson now faces a 30 to 40% loss on his principal investment and a drastically reduced interest rate of just 1.95% over 15 years – compared to the original 10%. This dramatic financial hit has left Blackson feeling betrayed by the government In his posts on X, formerly known as Twitter, Blackson accused the Ghanaian government of using his investment, and those of others, to pay off foreign debts – particularly to China. 'Ghana decided to use our money to pay their debt to China or whoever and leave us hanging,' he wrote. He specifically called out the Finance Minister, questioning how the funds were managed and accusing the government of leaving investors in the lurch. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ✅SUPPORT US /AFFILIATE LINKS Use this affiliate link for your purchases at #MIZIZI International - https://bit.ly/3hajEY9 Support our channel - PayPal: newafricachannel(at)outlook.com Follow us on Instagram -   / thenewafricachannel   Follow us on Twitter -   / thenewafricach1   Join us on Facebook -   / thenew.africachannel.3   ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ✅COPYRIGHT DISCLAIMER The New Africa Channel doesn't fully own some of the materials compiled in its videos.
