The best known versions are those by Rudi Schuricke and the Meistersextett (the aryanised Comedian Harmonists)... The version presented in this video was recorded by the Theo Heldt orchestra with vocals by Heinz Larsen, better known as Paul Dorn. I have very little information on the Theo Heldt orchestra. He recorded mainly for the Clangor label. This record label is one of the few German labels I have never seen outside of Germany. I bought this record at a flea market in Berlin many years ago.... This record was recorded with an Ortofon Om78cartridge and stylus as well as 78rpm phono preamp. The restoration was done as truthfully as possible.
