Yesterday the battery died in our Honda- and after the hassle of replacing it I thought all was well- until turning on the radio today. No radio- no AM, no FM no Bluetooth Audio- all I got was the mysterious message- "Enter Code." After a silent drive home I researched what had happened and found out that newer Honda radios have a theft-deterrent feature whereby after being disconnected from the battery they "lock up" and won't work again until a security code is entered. My owner's manual told me I should have received this code number with my owner's manual kit. Digging through the pouch I found the credit card sized card with my radio unlock code. Turned out I didn't need it because there is a way with a button to reconnect your radio and make it realize it is "back where it belongs- in your car." Doing the button technique worked and I didn't need to enter my radio code, but at least I found it and copied it into my owner's manual since that is much larger and I am less likely to lose it.
