Tracking Down MONSTER SNAKEHEADS in Delaware Swamps!

It was a relatively chilly summer morning in the state of Delaware, and as I woke up, the swamps were once again calling my name. It was a new day, and there were snakeheads to be caught. I head out to a couple different Delaware swamps in hope of catching some of these big snakeheads on topwater. I tied on a couple of my favorite frogs from snakehead outlawz, and I hit the road with high hopes. I fished the first spot about as hard as I could, but I wasn't satisfied with the fishing there on this day, so I packed up and headed to my all time favorite snakehead fishing spot in Delaware. That's when things really started to turn in our favor. Within minutes of me launching my kayak at this snakehead fishing spot, I noticed the first snakehead fry ball that I have seen all year. That's when I new it was going to be a great day. We started getting a lot of action from snakeheads and bowfin, and it turned out to be one of my favorite delaware snakehead fishing adventures of the year so far. We also met up with my buddy Kelly Spies on this body of water. Kelly is one of the best snakehead fisherman in the game right now, and he was able to catch his first ever Delaware snakehead! If y'all would, please go check out his brand new youtube channel and show him some love:    / @e.sfrogger9363   IMPORTANT NOTE: While Snakeheads are a non-native species, biologists have discovered over the last few years that the damage they cause to the ecosystem is not nearly what was once expected. Many bodies of water containing these fish have successfully adapted to their presence. I encourage you to thoroughly research the data that is out their regarding snakeheads before you make an uninformed comment saying that we should have killed the fish. That being said, everyone is entitled to their opinion regarding these fish. We simply ask that your opinion be formed on actual data and research, not what you heard from a friend or read on facebook. The body of water that we fished already has a healthy population of snakeheads. Killing a few fish would do absolutely nothing in regards to eradicating the species from that body of water. Instead, you'd be wasting the life of a perfectly good gamefish. Here at Orange 22 Fishing, we encourage you to practice catch and release on all species of fish, including snakeheads. We will continue to do so, and we hope you will do the same as well. No matter your opinion on this topic, we do thank you for watching our video and supporting our channel! Tight lines, Dave and Matt
