FULL CASE STUDY: https://varjo.com/blog/framery-iterat... Framery, makers of the industry-leading in-office, sound isolated pods for calls, meetings and concentrated work, have achieved their market position by recognising the importance of cutting-edge technology for driving up standards in product design and engineering. During the design of their latest product, the Framery One, they pioneered a groundbreaking workflow that enables rapidly iterative design work to be carried out in XR for the first time. Thanks to a software combination of Solidworks, Keyshot and KeyVR, and the unsurpassed mixed reality capabilities of the Varjo XR-3 headset, the design team at Framery were able to edit and adjust components of a life-sized digital twin of their latest booth in real-time. Previously, true-to-life ergonomics and design reviews required physical prototypes to be produced, that were both costly, and time-consuming to make, leading to a slow and inefficient process. Now, edits made to the CAD file in Solidworks could be visualised on the fly to a photorealistic representation of the virtual prototype. Thanks to the Varjo XR-3 this full-sized virtual prototype can be closely inspected, and even entered. With this setup Framery were able to: Reduce the product design cycle by an entire month Enabled the program to skip an entire prototyping round Investment into Varjo headsets, and the accompanying PC and software paid itself back in just one month
