KILL A PURSUER’S HORSE DURING THE ESCAPE First of all, I’d like to point out this is a dumb objective. In terms of what is defined as “the escape”, I’ve read that you must kill a horse before Captain Monroe’s mount goes down. The remaining objectives pertain mostly to a larger combat sequence during the overall escape (11:00). This is one of the only missions in RDR2 that took me three attempts to gold medal. The margin of error is small and experiencing how the combat plays out may be necessary for you as well. My critical mistake was taking out the wagon driver too early (12:01). I was making an entire wave of enemies stop way up the road! Let these enemies close the distance where you can kill them efficiently.
