Friction cum end bearing pile End bearing pile is used when the bottom of the pile is hard strata that is hard rock, Friction pile is used where there is no such hard strata of soil beneath the pile but the resistance is offered by the skin of the pile.Friction cum end bearing pile is the type of pile foundation where resistance is offered by both the end bearing as well as the skin friction.
