THE WELSH SEASIDE Llandudno Llandudno has sometimes been referred to as the "Queen of the Welsh Resorts", and could very easily argue to be the finest in Wales. Situated in North Wales, it is a town of around 20000 population and has 2 beaches. The North Shore is the most popular being so close to the town centre and with a fine promenade and pier. The West Shore has a more secluded feel and tends to be less frantic Close by are The Great Orme and The Little Orme - 2 hills with marvellous views. The Great Orme is by far the most accesible with a public road up it, and around it. It also has a tram and cable car lift up it. The town centre is very pleasant with plenty of excellent shops - a distinct Victorian feel about it still survives - Tony
