Travel with us as we take you on a drive around Newport Beach’s Balboa Island (California) in 4k! Home to gorgeous luxury homes, personal yachts and 2 famous frozen banana stands, exploring Balboa Island is one of of the most popular things to do in Newport Beach. This man made island is actually three different islands, the large island, “Little Balboa Island” and Collins Island to the North. While it is very small (only 1.7 miles/2.7km around!), a visit to Balboa Island is a fun, relaxing way to spend the day. We begin our Balboa Island drive tour by entering the island from the mainland on Marine Ave. We will immediately pass through Balboa Village, one of the busiest streets in the neighborhood. You’ll see a handful of the the charming local shops and restaurants which include Wilma’s Patio and Balboa’s famous frozen bananas from Dad’s and Sugar n’ Spice. After making our way down the main strip, we will take a left onto the Park Avenue bridge and drive across Grand Canal for a quick tour of “Little Balboa Island”.  Next, we will hop back on Park Avenue and make our way to the North side of the island. Here, we we will spend a lot time weaving through Balboa’s streets to view the incredible collection of luxury houses. As we head down Palm Street, be on the lookout for the famous Balboa Island Ferry which transports both cars and pedestrians between the island and Balboa Peninsula (where Balboa Fun Zone is located).  Our Balboa Island drive tour comes to an end back on Marine Avenue with one last pass through Balboa Village.
