Come along for a scenic drive along Rustic Road 29 during the spring season. Rustic Road 29, located in Southeast Wisconsin, is a designated scenic route that stretches for 2.6 miles along Snake Road, from the town of Lake Geneva. The Rustic Roads (RR) system in Wisconsin is a collection of roads designated for their scenic, historic, and natural value, providing a unique way to experience the state's rural charm. Established in 1973, this system aims to preserve these roads' rustic and tranquil nature while offering a glimpse into Wisconsin's picturesque landscapes and heritage. The roads range from less than two miles to more than 30 miles in length and are located across the state. They are marked by distinctive brown and yellow signs, making them easy to identify. Today, there are 126 designated Rustic Roads covering roughly 760 miles. Starting at the eastern end of Road 29, we'll journey through the picturesque hills bordering Geneva Lake for 2.6 miles before turning back. Along the way, you'll be surrounded by charming split rail fencing and pass by some of the largest estates remaining on Geneva Lake. Keep an eye out for majestic estate entry gates and the rolling hills and forests.
