Song For A Winter's Night is one of my dad's all-time favourite songs. Written by his hero, Canadian folk singing legend, Gordon Lightfoot. I've always wanted to honour my father with my own recording of one of Gord's songs. Song For A Winter's Night is the beautifully understated Lightfoot masterpiece of the season. It's special to know that thanks to Musiversal, I recorded four exceptional Brazilians and one Portuguese musician remotely in Brazil, Portugal and New York City in the spring of 2021 to capture this iconic song in the Bossa Nova style for the first time ever. So I recommend lighting a fire, a candle, pouring a glass of wine and listening to this in a moment when your intention is to relax and to feel the peace of the season.
