In this video, I'm going to be giving my thoughts on Steph Curry and Team USA's Olympic performance to bring home the Gold Medal. Heading into this year's Olympics, many basketball fans around the world were stoked to see what they thought was the greatest Olympic basketball team ever assembled play together. This Team USA basketball Olympic roster was arguably the most accomplished group of players together as a unit. A team filled with superstars, MVPs, all NBA teams, and defensive players, many people believe that the expectation for this group was to undoubtedly sweep through the Olympics and bring home the gold medal with ease. Although they did do that, the road to getting there was a lot harder than they anticipated. Team USA had a relatively easy time when the Olympics started in Paris as they were blowing teams out by a margin of 20+ points. Everything was looking like it was going to be a breeze for Team USA until they ran into Serbia in the semi-final game. Since Team USA had already beaten Serbia 3 times, there likely wasn't any worry or doubt heading into that game. However, Serbia had played arguably their game throughout the Olympics against Team USA. They did absolutely everything right for 3 quarters including rebounding, perimeter shotmaking, and fast-paced possessions. Team USA also got off to a bad start in that game and it was looking like the game was going to slip away if they didn't adjust quick enough. Fortunately, Team USA has the greatest shooter to ever play the game of basketball. Steph Curry had a rough time scoring consistently and shooting efficiently during the Olympics up until the semi-final game. He was able to break out and have his highest-scoring Olympic game ever with 36 points, just 1 point shy of the Olympic scoring record of 37 points. Curry caught a rhythm early as soon as the game started and he never looked back from there. Whenever he gets it going, it also ignites the team's offense because his movement around the perimeter puts a ton of pressure on the defense. On top of that, Serbia was a favorable matchup for Stephen Curry to go off for a big game because they don't have the personnel to guard him. When the time came to play France, Steph was creating havoc on the ball as France was struggling to defend him with any type of coverage. When the game was closing in with a 3-point game, it looked like France could've stolen the game down the stretch. However, Steph Curry displayed one of the best heat checks in a basketball game at the highest stage and ultimately put the France team into bed. Night Night
