Punjab govt to pay Punjabi University’s Rs 150 crore bank loan, says CM Channi

He also announced a Rs 20 crore per month grant to tackle its financial crisis. He was at the university during the launch of two new centres - ‘Centre for Restoration of Ecosystem in Punjab’ and the ‘Centre for Rural Entrepreneurship and Skill Training’ on the campus. The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
