Ceremony in Thanatos Ruins Secret of Mana Remix

I've finally composed another Secret of Mana remix! The original song, "Ruins Ceremony" was written by Hiroku Kikuta. For my arrangement, I used nothing but live samples of traditional Japanese instruments. The instruments I used include: hira daiko, koto, tebyoshi, shakuhachi, hichiriki, tsuzumi, okawa and shamisen. I have to say that this was indeed fun. Balancing the original semi-creepy aesthetic of the original piece with my own, typically lilting, soothing style was tricky. The result was somewhat of a departure from my usual work (although some of my experimental songs from childhood/early teen years sounded a bit more like this.) I have a lot of other Secret of Mana songs planned. If you liked this, I've also got covers of Whisper and Mantra, Into the Thick of It and Fear of the Heavens.
