AT Power Drive by Wire Prototype

AT Power protoype drive by wire system fitted to Honda K20 throttle bodies. This system features twin contactless throttle position sensors, and will fit to most of our throttle body sets, duratec, zetec, renault clio etc. This video shows some variable inputs via the controller. Please excuse the temporary use of an inlet trumpet as a heatsink! A proper heat sink is now in place. Get in touch for more information. Please note that this system is not intended to be a direct replacement for a standard drive by wire throttle. The standard ECU is very clever and can detect slight electrical differences between the original throttle, and a system like this. When detected the ECU thinks there is a problem with the throttle and stops working. This is a safety feature. It is extremely difficult to replcate exactly the electrical response of the original throttle, and therefore we are not intending to pursue this. Our system is designed to work with an aftermarket ECU such as the SC Tornado which itself controls the DBW motor. The standard ECU is replaced in this case. We only recommend our system for motorsport use for legal reasons we don't support street use.
