here is the ultimate fan favorite of muni heritage weekend: the blackpool boat tram! these are by far the most popular of the historic streetcars and buses that run during heritage weekend. the market street railway very recently acquired a THIRD boat tram, so as soon as that is operational, experiencing the boat tram will be much easier than ever before. i really wanted to get on a pull-in trip for the boat, but i was in a time crunch, so i could not get on any pull-in trip at all. still, this was my first time on a boat tram going up the embarcadero, and i can say it’s something everyone needs to see at least once! thankfully it was sunny with a gentle breeze downtown. i almost fell asleep on the return trip because it was so relaxing! i’m ready for next year’s heritage weekend! from: SF railway museum to: fisherman’s wharf
