The 7mm PRC uses a standard magnum bolt face and has a standard overall length of 3.30” and, therefore, fits in a standard magnum length magazine box. This means we can easily rebarrel existing bolt action rifles in most magnum calibers to a 7mm PRC. Recoil falls between a 30-06 and 300 Win. Mag and is very manageable without muzzle brakes or suppressors. Even with a 20” barrel length, cartridge performance is outstanding, making this a very suppressor friendly cartridge.
