Geneva Motor Show 2014: Ford Focus

It may still be one of Britain's best-selling hatchbacks, but that hasn't stopped Ford from giving the Focus a quick nip and tuck in time for Geneva. On the outside, the new car gets just a few tweaks, the biggest being a new front end, designed to match the next generation Mondeo. It's inside that things have really changed. Ford's clever SYNC infotainment system has been updated, bringing plenty of clever new features and - at last - a decent sized screen in the middle of the dash. There's more in the way of driver aids too, including a new adaptive lighting system and, for the first time, a feature that can automatically reverse the car into those tricky supermarket parking spaces. Ford has fiddled under the bonnet too, with a new and super-efficient 1.5-litre diesel engine to look forward to. There's no official word on prices, but we expect the new Focus will be priced similarly to the current model when it goes on sale later this year.
