LiveConnections presents two emerging composers and recent Curtis Institute graduates as they combine their love of video games with their serious classical chops. The program shows off Elizabeth Zharoff and Xavier Foley’s tremendous talents in opera and classical bass respectively, while also weaving in music written for or influenced by gaming. The LiveConnections commissioned pieces “Requiem,” “Excalibur” and “Temple Run” draw on video game themes and narratives — watch the world premiere performance! The LiveConnections Presents concert series features six curated concerts annually, showcasing adventurous collaborations, new commissions and world premieres, and the best boundary-crossing music around.
