The video was directed by Brandon Ransbottom, who also directed the video for “Taking Chances” in 2017. "If You Keep" captures the sentiments Nicks experienced while cradling his infant daughter, Lucy. The video features appearances from Nicks’ wife and children along with actor, singer, and dancer Elli Berry playing the role of Lucy coming into adulthood. “I wrote this song when Lucy was a baby. I was rocking her, praying for her, and imagining the day that she will leave our home and strike out on her own. Will her mom and I have given her what she needs?
