Sanjeev Bikhchandani and Ashish Dhawan | Meet the Founders, Ashoka University

This is the video recording of the 7th Meet the Founders interview held on on November 21, 2017 at Ashoka University. Ashish Dhawan is one of India’s most celebrated private equity (PE) investors and a strong advocate of improving education in India. In 2000 he quit ChrysCapital, a $ 2.5 billion Indian PE firm he founded, to start Central Square Foundation, a philanthropic fund focused on providing excellent education to economically disadvantaged families. When Ashoka first set out to raise INR 400 crore, he led the charge and contributed approximately INR 50 crore of his own money. Mr. Dhawan is an alumnus of Yale and Harvard Business School. Sanjeev Bikhchandani is a force to recon with in the dotcom space. If you need help finding a college (shiksha.com), a job (naukri.com), a house (99acres.com), a spouse (jeevansaathi.com), or even a meal (zomato.com) — Mr. Bikhchandani’s got your back. He studied at St. Stephens and IIM-A, and is committed to catalysing a transformation in Indian college education through Ashoka. Interviewing them are Gurasheesh ‘Guru' Singh and Sanat Sogani. Guru was an architect of the student body's constitution and is now an Entrepreneur in Residence at the CfE. Sanat is a former President of the Student Government and a founder of Dhamma, a political party on campus. CREDITS: Meet the Founders is a student run interview series with the founders of Ashoka University. The event was organised and documented by Abhinav Verma, Rhythm Banerjee, Sadaf Bandeali, Shubhankar Mukherjee, Prajwal Seth, Rithvik URS, Manya Srivastava, and Aashay Verma,
