What Are the Highest Paid Physical Therapists Doing in 2023

Tony Maritato here. I'm currently researching and writing an article titled "What are the highest paid physical therapists doing in 2023?" Like every research project, I started with a simple Google search. Of course, companies like ZipRecruiter provide a list of the highest paid positions in physical therapy. You'll find roles like travel physical therapists, who could make anywhere from $80,000 to $120,000 a year, and positions like rehab director. However, these are not life-changing incomes. I want to know where the real money is, and it's hiding in plain sight. In my research, I found that the physical therapists making the most money in 2023 are building online communities. Everyone needs an audience. Regardless of your profession, you are in the world of media these days. For instance, I have a Facebook group of over 11,000 people who have had total knee replacements. This group is a massive community for me. I also have groups for therapists who want to understand Medicare billing or get into cash pay physical therapy. These free communities can be monetized in various ways, providing opportunities that far exceed anything I could do in patient care. Paid speaking engagements are another avenue. Take Kelly Starrett, for example. He's a physical therapist who has done amazing things, including meeting the president and creating programs. If you look up his speaking engagement fee, one reference I found quotes it between $10,000 and $20,000. I bet it's more than that now. Just think about how many patient care visits you would have to provide in the highest paying physical therapy environment to earn $20,000, which Kelly can earn in less than an hour. Building a YouTube channel is another opportunity. Have you heard of Bob and Brad or Ask Dr. Joe? These are some of the veterans of YouTube. By any reasonable estimate, those YouTube channels are making millions of dollars a year in ad revenue and sponsorships. This doesn't even include merchandise sales. These physical therapists are not treating patients to earn a living, and they are earning exponentially more than even the best therapists in the clinic. Other considerations include creating and offering online courses and apps. Look at the Prehab Guys. They released an app and are charging $49 a month. Think of the scale and how many people they could reach. I have no idea what kind of numbers they're doing, but I guarantee it's in the tens of millions, if not hundreds of millions, a year. So, when you want to explore opportunities, I encourage you to think outside the four walls of a clinic. Consider how you can package and monetize your knowledge and experience, and increase access to a wider community. What opportunities are you not taking advantage of? If you want to discuss this more, let me know. Tell me in the comments below what I missed. What other opportunities are out there? We didn't even touch on artificial intelligence or any of the new technologies available. I want to hear from you. Let me know. Full Article: https://www.choosept1st.com/articles/...
