Winds were around 20knots and took us to speeds in excess of 8.5knots. Champagne sailing, until the wheels fell off! We approached the furthest point in the race, Mosman Mark, in Mosman Bay but Equalizer had turned away from it towards another mark, so like lambs, we followed suit. As did Torravean, they followed us. In the end all three of us retired having not followed a proper course. We continued racing but did not cross the finish line. My assessment of the other boats finish times and positions indicates that we would have finished 3rd OTL and probably 1st on handicap! Se la vie
